Students enrolled in Computer Essentials 1 and 2 will learn the basic functions of all 3 components of Microsoft Office 2007.  Below is a brief list of what students will learn in these two courses:

Microsoft Word   

  • Develop Flyers
  • Creating Research Papers (MLA Style)
  • Create Resume's and Cover Letters
  • Creating Documents with a Title Page, Table, Chart, and Watermark

Microsoft Excel 

  • Create a Worksheet and Chart
  • Create Worksheets with various Formulas, Functions, Formatting
  • Create "What-If Analysis," Colorful Charts, Work w/ Large Worksheets
  • Create Loan Calculators, Amortization Schedules, Present/Future Value

Microsoft Access 

  • (Not provided in Computer Essentials I and II)

Microsoft PowerPoint
